This fall, Flyover New Music will present two evenings of new collaborations, the first one will take place on Thursday, October 1 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

In response to the pandemic, which has completely changed possibilities for making music in person, the composers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music have teamed up with our performer colleagues to create music for our time. The goal was to collaborate on the creation of new works for solo performer: works that could be rehearsed via videoconference, practiced in isolation, and performed under any socially-distanced circumstance, from an empty concert hall to a studio apartment via webcast.

On Thursday, October 1st, Flyover presents collaborations with Dr. Dave Hall’s percussion studio. The program will feature new works for solo snare drum and solo marimba. Although being webcast from the Westbrook Recital Hall, there will be no in-person audience. The webcast link is: https://go.unl.edu/flyover1

The second performance of the semester will take place on November 17.
