It’s a new year at the Glenn Korff School of Music

We enthusiastically welcome you to a new year at the Glenn Korff School of Music!

We want you to know we strive to make an impact in Lincoln, Nebraska, across the country, and across the expanses of the world. We want you to know we do that through teaching the next generation of students at many levels, from students in the UNL/LPS String Project to our PhD students, high school students who come to our camps to our alumni in the schools, causing a ripple effect across the nation.

We want you to know we do that through research on many levels, looking into the impacts— the how’s and the why’s in the world of music and dance. We have students winning competitions based on thorough research, as well as faculty investing their time and expertise, including writing books and papers. They also present their findings through presentations and performances across the world including in Italy, Russia and South Korea.

We also make an impact through outreach. Our Opera program has taken to the roads of Nebraska and performed in towns such as Ord and Red Cloud. Last year our Symphony Orchestra performed in Holdrege. Our Chamber Music program performed in many retirement communities across Lincoln. We want to make the whole state know that we are your University program, and we will continue to do so more and more!

We are so proud to be the Glenn Korff School of Music. We will continue to uphold the highest standards of excellence in teaching, research and outreach. Many of our events are free to the public, and we encourage you to come see ALL that we have to offer to Lincoln, Nebraska, and the world!
