Jazz Combos take Westbrook stage on back to back nights

LINCOLN, Neb.— There will be back to back Jazz Combo performances at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music on Sunday, April 15 and Monday, April 16 in Westbrook Recital Hall.

On Sunday, the Undergraduate Jazz Combos take center stage at 3 p.m. There will be four combos performing on the night lead by coaches Kyle Granville, Michael Kraft and Chris Leach. Music includes selections from Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Bobby Timmons and John Coltrane.

Then on Monday night at 7:30 p.m., the Graduate Jazz Combo will take the Westbrook stage. The night includes many arrangements by student Andrew Janak as well as some pieces by Janak, Christian Chesanek and Runkun Li.

Both performances are free and open to the public. Monday night’s performance will be live webcast. Visit music.unl.edu the night of the performance for the live link.
