LINCOLN, Neb.— The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Glenn Korff School of Music had a strong showing at the West Central National Association of the Teachings of Singing Student Auditions this past weekend at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.

They were rewarded with 24 percent of the collegiate awards:

• 364 students were entered from colleges, universities and private voice studios from Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas and Nebraska

• 49 voice professionals judged the three rounds of vocal competition

The Glenn Korff School of Music students received:

• 34 recognitions for their classical vocal and musical theatre performances

• 14 GKSOM students are advancing to next national round of auditions in the National Association of Teachers of Singing's National Student Auditions, which will culminate in national semifinal and final auditions to be held in Las Vegas, June 22-26, 2018.
