UNL Wind Ensemble Lab presents a Virtual Open House

calendar icon25 Sep 2020

For those who are wondering what the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music Wind Ensemble is up to during the pandemic, we are opening the doors to the lab to provide unprecedented access to these musicians at work on Friday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Virtual visitors will have 3D viewing capability thanks to our creative tech team. The ensemble will be running experiments and demonstrations linked to the Mask/Zoom Hypothesis, Magnet Theory (Performance Proxemics), and Framing/Preliminary Character Studies, all driven by the overarching Mentos/Diet Coke Proposition. The music of John Mackey and Frank Ticheli will be featured in what promises to be a fun, informative, and engaging event. Join us virtually from the Lied Center’s Johnny Carson Theater. No in-person audience.

The livestream will be available from the GKSOM’s youtube. Here is the direct link: https://youtu.be/mDcC-y2oWm8
