"Ugh! My Tummy Hurts Again" is a project aimed at raising awareness about Celiac Disease by offering a firsthand look into what it’s like to live with the condition. Diagnosed with Celiac Disease in my early twenties, I found the transition to a gluten-free lifestyle both overwhelming and complex. It’s not just about avoiding gluten in food, but also in medications, everyday products like craft supplies, toys such as Play-Doh, and, most crucially, preventing cross-contamination. Through this immersive experience, I hope to shed light on the daily realities of living with this condition. The project won a Gold ADDY Award at the 2023 National American Advertising Awards (ADDY).

Evenings of Dance
Dance program presented Evenings of Dance last April. This annual performance by UNL dance students includes works by faculty, guest artists and students. The performance included three student works that were also featured at the American College Dance Association regional conference last spring at St. Olaf by junior Katie Charest and seniors Abby Brady and Mariela Hernandez.
The concert features lighting design by students in the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, led by Assistant Professor Michelle Harvey.
Mr. Burns
The Nebraska Repertory Theatre presented “Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play” by Anne Washburn in November 2023. The production was directed by Associate Professor of Theatre David Long.
“Mr. Burns” is a darkly humorous exploration of the power of storytelling and its evolution in a post-apocalyptic world. Set in a future where civilization has crumbled, survivors gather to retell episodes from “The Simpsons,” which provides solace and connection.

Matt Orduna AEA as Mr. Burns, Harper LaRue Allen as Lisa and Jill C. Holmes AEA as Marge.

The cast, comprised of both professional and student actors, performs a musical number.

Shortly after an unspecified apocalypse, six survivors gather at a campfire. Clay Bauman listens to a story being told.

Professional AEA actor Matt Orduna led the cast as Mr. Burns.
"Static"
