Faculty Jazz Ensemble preps for exciting and eclectic night

LINCOLN, Neb.— The UNL Glenn Korff School of Music Faculty Jazz Ensemble will present an exciting and eclectic evening of original compositions and arrangements on March 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Westbrook Recital Hall.

Included on the program are two new works by Prof. Thomas Larson, The Invisibles and Flashback. Dr. Eric Richards offers an adaptation of one of his original works for big band, Wolfdenfunk, as well as an arrangement of the Wayne Shorter classic, One By One. Also included on this concert is Avenues by California-based guitarist Peter Sprague and a tribute to the late Michele Deaton, the business manager of the Glenn Korff School of Music, who passed away this past year.

The event, free and open to the public, will also be live webcast.
