Grange releases 11th book: 'Historical Dictionary of German Theater'

The Ross lowers admission price; gets upgrades
Lincoln, Neb.--As of July 1, The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center has lowered all of its admission prices by 25¢ in order to reward its customers for their support. Moreover, UNL students will be admitted to any screenings at any time of the day or night at a price of $5.This and other changes and upgrades already completed, planned, or in process have been made possible by a generous gift from the estate of Mary Riepma Ross, establishing what will eventually be a $9.5 million endowment at the University Foundation earmarked for The Ross.

Carson School's Conley receives Academy of Television Internship

Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts to continue
Lincoln, Neb.--A proposal to create a new Hixson-Lied College of the Arts and Architecture, a consolidation of the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts and College of Architecture at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, was removed from the June agenda of the Board of Regents today, and UNL officials do not expect it to be considered in the near future.As a result, the two colleges will continue to operate in their present configurations.

'Seeds of Time' director to appear at the Ross
Lincoln, Neb.--Opening at The Ross on Friday, June 12, "Seeds of Time" follows scientist Cary Fowler as he travels the globe stockpiling seeds that might one day avert global starvation.
"Seeds of Time" director Sandy McLeod will appear at the opening night screening at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12 for a Q&A session with the audience.

Carson School's Howard receives national LMDA Dramaturgy Fellowship
Lincoln, Neb.-- Bryan Howard, a senior English, Theatre Arts and Human Behavior (Interdisciplinary Studies) major in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film from Howell, New Jersey, has received the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas (LMDA) Dramaturgy Fellowship at the national festival of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF), April 14-18 in Washington, D.C.View Article

Marks named Associate Dean
Lincoln, Neb.--Associate Professor of Organ Christopher Marks has been named Associate Dean of the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, effective July 1, 2015.He will take over from Professor of Art History Christin Mamiya, who is returning to the faculty in the Department of Art and Art History. She has served as associate dean since 2009, including one year as interim dean.

Carson School's Howard receives a Fulbright
Lincoln, Neb.--Bryan Howard, an English and theatre arts and human behavior major from Howell, N.J., is one of five University of Nebraska–Lincoln students who have earned Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship grants for the 2015-2016 academic year.The Fulbright ETA Program is a nationally competitive award that places recent graduates in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to local English language teachers. These students are also cultural ambassadors for the United States.
