IGNITE featuring Seed&Spark's Bri Castellini

12:30 pm - 1:50 pm CT
Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts, CEMA 101

Thinking about making a movie, show, XR experience, or web series? Great! We wanna watch it.  But first, how are you going to get if off the ground?

We’ve got answers!

Our Art of the Pitch workshop is about connecting what you really want to do with your careerー and how you have to be prepared to pitch to different audiences along the way.

Seed&Spark’s Bri Castellini will help you articulate to every potential audience what makes you and your project special, whether you have 280 characters or a full 30 minute oral presentation. By the end, you’ll be a pro at verbalizing what makes your idea stand out and why you’re telling this story.

Bri Castellini is the Film Community Manager for Seed&Spark, a graduate-level adjunct professor for digital media, an independent filmmaker, and, regrettably, a podcaster. She's known for the 2017 short film Ace and Anxious (writer/director, 147k views on YouTube) and for her podcasts Burn, Noticed and Breaking Out of Breaking in, covering the USA television show Burn Notice and practical filmmaking advice, respectively. She has been described by collaborators as a "human bulldozer" and is honestly kind of flattered. For more on Bri, visit BriCastellini.com

The Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts and Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film have partnered with Seed&Spark, a crowdfunding platform that delivers education, tools and resources that create access for all storytellers to get their work made and seen.  Seed&Spark is the only crowdfunding platform created for filmmakers, by filmmakers. It is the only platform dedicated to increasing diversity and inclusion in entertainment at every level.

The event is free and open to the public in person or register at bit.ly/AOPxUNL to receive the link to the livestream, which will be emailed out to you 1 hour before the event starts!
