On the weekend of January 24, 25 and 26, the Glenn Korff School of Music will be hosting its first audition days of the season as well as the annual Winter Festival.

The Glenn Korff School of Music welcomes all aspiring music and dance majors/minors to audition for admission to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music. All students who audition as a music or dance major are considered for generous scholarship support.

The 2020 Undergraduate audition dates are:

January 24, 2020 – Brass, Composition, Percussion, Voice & Woodwinds; January 25, 2020 – Dance, Keyboard, Strings (including guitar) & Voice; February 21, 2020 – Dance, Keyboard, Strings (no guitar) & Voice; February 22, 2020 – Brass, Composition, Guitar, Percussion, Voice & Woodwinds

You can learn more about how to prepare and also request an audition date and times at our website. Start the audition process and learn more by visiting: https://arts.unl.edu/music/undergraduate-audition-information

Meanwhile, the Winter Festival for Winds and Percussion is a unique concert band and chamber ensemble festival for high school students (freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors). The festival is designed to give participants an outstanding and comprehensive playing experience. Festival participants are chosen through a recorded audition process. Students attending the festival are involved in three different ensembles: an honor band; a chamber ensemble, coached by one of the Glenn Korff School of Music’s talented applied wind and percussion faculty; and a large symphonic band that combines the festival honor band with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Wind Ensemble. Students also participate in a masterclass with the applied wind and percussion faculty.

The performance is free and open to the public on Sunday, January 26 at 3 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.
