calendar icon02 Sep 2024

The Concordia String Trio (CST) will present an exciting and varied program at Westbrook Recital Hall on the UNL campus on Sunday, September 15th at 3:00pm. The program will feature two compositions by British composers – Dame Ethel Smyth and Gordon Jacob, and the String Trio of American composer Robert Muczynski. The Concordia String Trio members look forward to sharing this exciting string trio repertoire with audiences in Nebraska, Missouri, and Illinois. This versatile ensemble has built a reputation for its exciting performances and innovative programs, juxtaposing pieces from the standard string trio repertoire with new compositions and little-known works of great composers. Their newest albums are Viennese String Trios (2017) and American Vistas (2018), both on the Centaur label, and its most recent album, From The Heart of Ra released in 2022, which features two pieces written for them by Andrew List.
