González recital to be live webcast

We are excited to announce that we have added an Undergraduate Student Showcase Recital to our webcast schedule.

Bachelor of Music Education major and Flutist Asael Arévalo González will have his senior recital Saturday, November 9 at 5:30 p.m. in Westbrook Recital Hall.

The recital begins with Bach's Sonata in E minor which shows his mastery of counterpoint between the flute and the harpsichord. Next, Reinecke's Sonata "Undine", based on the story of a mermaid, gives the impression of water and fantasy. After a short break, Ian Clarke's "Zoom Tube" contains an array of sounds that grooves with its inspiration from rock and blues, finally ending with Poulenc's sonata that is undeniably French in its fun and carefree nature.
