The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music bassoon studio of Dr. Nathan Koch holds its first recital of the 2019-2020 academic year, featuring a variety of student-faculty chamber music collaborations on Wednesday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Recital Hall.

The program includes a movement from Georg Philipp Telemann’s Canonic Sonatas, which are a collection of six unique works written in a canonic- or round-style, highlighting the composer’s incredible talent and imagination. Also to be performed are duets from the standard works of Julius Weissenborn, arguably the godfather of bassoon pedagogy and one of the great players of the 19th century, and a delightful transcription of an aria from Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia scored for two bassoons.

Free and open to the public.
