Aaron earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in film and new media from the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film in 2009. He then earned his Master of Fine Arts in Film Production from the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts in 2011.

He currently serves as an assistant professor of art at Concordia University, Nebraska in Seward, where he leads courses in film production, film criticism, digital media, and photography.

Through his freelance work, Aaron has written and directed award-winning films and produced successful ad campaigns for clients nationwide. Additionally, since 2012, he has directed video and multimedia content for Concordia University, Nebraska, that has helped generate new student leads and interest for admissions, advancement and athletics.
