The Arts are Global
Studying abroad is a great way to expand your mind and experience other cultures. The Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts offers a number of opportunities for students to study abroad, and our Hixson-Lied Endowment provides opportunities for funding to support your global experiences
Carson School students study at Shakespeare’s Globe in London
In 2019, 18 students from the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film studied internationally at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, thanks to support from the Hixson-Lied Endowment.

Get Real-World Experience
Obtaining an internship is a great way to develop real-world experience. Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts students have completed internships and earned other real-world experience to help them build their resumes and make professional connections.
Graphic design alumna Sabrina Sommer turned an internship into a career.
Sabrina Sommer (2021 B.A. Graphic Design & B.J. Advertising/PR) is currently a Content Creator at Wieden + Kennedy in New York City. Internships were important to landing her first job after graduation.
