An internship program titled We Are Nebraska uses applied improv and applied theatre techniques to explore the personal stories of its interns and present them in a theatre experience to inspire, educate and entertain.

Studying abroad is a great way to expand your mind and experience other cultures. The Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts offers a number of opportunities for students to study abroad, and our Hixson-Lied Endowment provides opportunities for funding to support your global experiences

Get Real-World Experience

Obtaining an internship is a great way to develop real-world experience. Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts students have completed internships and earned other real-world experience to help them build their resumes and make professional connections.

Graphic design alumna Sabrina Sommer turned an internship into a career.

Sabrina Sommer (2021 B.A. Graphic Design & B.J. Advertising/PR) is currently a Content Creator at Wieden + Kennedy in New York City. Internships were important to landing her first job after graduation.
