Jackie Spackman

Academic Advisor

Jackie returns to her alma mater to serve on our Student Success team as Academic Advisor for the Glenn Korff School of Music. As Academic Advisor, she will advise current and incoming undergraduate students by helping them understand academic standards, degree requirements and relevant policies, and professional preparation. She also works collaboratively with faculty, staff and unit leaders to help students successfully move through the curriculum. Jackie has spent nearly a decade working with diverse populations in a range of settings, including serving as an adjunct art history instructor and working at the Sheldon Museum of Art.

Jackie has a proven record of building supportive relationships with students while managing complex systems and programs. She looks forward to serving students on their collegiate journeys and to help them reach their goals. Jackie’s problem-solving skills, comfort with a wide range of technology, knowledge of campus and community resources, and her ability to partner with students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders will be assets in this role. Jackie earned an M.A. in art history and a B.A. in art history and classics/religious studies from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
