Nebraska National exhibition continues through Oct. 20 at Eisentrager-Howard Gallery
Lincoln, Neb.—The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History & Design is hosting the sixth annual Nebraska National Undergraduate Juried Art Exhibition. The exhibition features the work of the best undergraduate student artists from across the country.
Nebraska National continues through Oct. 20 in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. There will be a reception on Friday, Oct. 6 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery with the awards announced at 6 p.m.

Open Studios event Oct. 20
Lincoln, Neb.--Graduate students in the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's School of Art, Art History & Design will be hosting an Open Studios event on Friday, Oct. 20 from 5-7 p.m. in Richards Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

Art critic Robert Mahoney will present the next lecture on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 5:30 p.m. in Richards Hall Rm. 15. Mahoney’s lecture is free and open to the public.

Hoff's excavation in Turkey yields light industrial finds
Lincoln, Neb.—Three additional kilns were uncovered this summer at the Antiochia at Cragum excavation in Turkey this summer, bringing the total to six kilns. The kilns, along with a previously uncovered glass manufacturing workshop, all found in the bath house area of the site, indicates the area became light industrial in nature during the late Roman Empire (5th to 7th century A.D.).

The next lecture in the series will be presented by Ceramic Artist Rob Forbes on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 5:30 p.m. in Richards Hall Rm. 15. Forbes’s lecture is free and open to the public.

New course explores computational creativity
Lincoln, Neb.—University of Nebraska–Lincoln School of Art, Art History & Design Associate Professor of Art Elizabeth Ingraham is teaching an online course this fall titled Computational Creativity that aims to help students develop both creative and computational thinking skills to help with problem solving in any discipline.

Second-year MFA students display work in exhibition at Eisentrager-Howard Gallery
Lincoln, Neb.—“Flux,” an exhibition featuring the work of 2nd year Master of Fine Arts students in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History & Design, is on display now through Sept. 15 in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall.
A reception will be held on First Friday, Sept. 1 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery.
The seven students participating in the exhibition are Scott Cochran, Kat Cox, Lindsey Day, Nicholas Sheldon, Iren Tete, Mallory Trecaso and Erik White, all of whom are in the second year of their graduate program.
