UNL dance program to host regional dance conference
Lincoln, Neb.--The Glenn Korff School of Music’s dance program will be hosting the 2023 American College Dance Association (ACDA) North-Central Conference March 12-15 in Lincoln.
More than 330 people from 22 universities are currently registered to attend the conference, which is themed “Meeting in the Middle.” The region includes Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Participants from additional states may attend as well.

Potter, Ruiz present joint faculty recital Feb. 15
Lincoln, Neb.—Clark Potter, viola, and Sergio Ruiz, piano, will present a joint faculty recital titled “¡Bailemos!” (“Let’s Dance!”) on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Recital Hall Rm. 119.

Sturm’s book nominated for ARSC award
Lincoln, Neb.--Hixson-Lied Professor of Double Bass and Jazz Studies Hans Sturm’s book, “75 Years on 4 Strings: The Life and Music of François Rabbath,” has been nominated for the 2023 Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC) Awards for Excellence in Historical Recorded Sound Research.

Guest artist Marshall presents Beethoven’s ‘Diabelli Variations’
Lincoln, Neb.--Glenn Korff School of Music guest artist Eldred Marshall, piano, will present a solo recital on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Recital Hall Rm. 119. The concert is free and open to the public.
Marshall’s program is titled “Beethoven’s Costume Party—The Diabelli Variations” and features Ludwig van Beethoven’s monumental “Diabelli Variations.”

UNL Symphony concert features works by Tchaikovsky, Mozart
Lincoln, Neb.--The UNL Symphony Orchestra presents “Tcheers for Tchaikovsky—and Mozart, too” on Friday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Tyler Goodrich White, ends the fall semester with a blockbuster program featuring a world premiere, one of Mozart’s most beautiful and beloved works, and Tchaikovsky’s epic Symphony No. 4.
The program opens with the world premiere of White’s orchestral work “Cataclysm.”

Welcome All Wonders holiday choral concert is Dec. 4
Lincoln, Neb.—Welcome All Wonders: A Family Yuletide Festival of Choirs is Sunday, Dec. 4 at 3 and 7:30 p.m. in the Newman Center, located at 320 N. 16th St. in Lincoln. The concerts are free and open to the public.
Five traditional choirs from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Glenn Korff School of Music will combine to sing holiday favorites, traditional carols and other separate and combined works in their annual massed, surround-sound event.
