Lincoln, Neb.—Saxophonist Erin Rogers and Percussionist Dennis Sullivan, who perform together as the duo Popebama, will be in residence this week in the Glenn Korff School of Music.

“Individually and together, Dennis and Erin are among the most creative and innovative composer/performers working today,” said Greg Simon, associate professor of composition in the Glenn Korff School of Music. “Whenever there’s a chance to bring artists of their caliber to campus, it’s a no-brainer, but it’s doubly exciting to be able to work with two of them. I’m excited for our students and our community not only to see their performance but get a glimpse into how these two artists create, both separately and together.”

The duo have several events scheduled Feb. 2-3. They will perform on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Westbrook Recital Hall Rm. 119. The concert is free and open to the public.

They will also participate in an open rehearsal and masterclass of “The Horse You Rode In On” by Joey Willette on Friday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. in Westbrook Rm. 130. This event is also free and open to the public. On Friday, Feb. 3 at 5:30 p.m. in Westbrook Rm. 130, they will hold an Improvisation Workshop. Attendance is encouraged from all musicians.
