Corey Cook

Corey is the Assistant Dean of Business and Finance & COO in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts. He is responsible for the operational and financial reporting systems that ensure effective and efficient business functions in the college, its departments, programs and initiatives. He will monitor college budgets, Foundation accounts, grants compliance, fund transfers and contracts.

Corey has more than 11 years of business and finance experience at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He was a Business Manager for the Natural Resources Business Center and was the Business Operations Manager for the Heartland Business Center Group in the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

He holds degrees from Doane University and the University of Oklahoma and is also a graduate of the Army’s Command and General Staff College.

Prior to his time at the university, Corey retired from active service in the United States Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in Logistics. His 21-year career culminated with his position as the Assistant Chief of Staff-Logistics for the 1^st Armored Division at Fort Bliss.
