Nebraska student art sales are April 27-28

Lincoln, Neb.— The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History & Design is hosting the Clay Club’s Spring Sale and the Fine Art Photo Club’s Photo Sale on April 27-28, 2018, in Richards Hall.

Hours for both sales are Friday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both sales are in Richards Hall. The pottery sale will take place in Rm. 118, while the Photo Sale will take place in the drawing studio in Rm. 112.

In addition, a collector’s tour of the ceramics sale will begin on Friday, April 27 at 8:30 a.m. for anyone who wants a preview of the works available for sale.

The Clay Club Sale will include works of art created by graduate students, undergraduate students, alumni and faculty in the School of Art, Art History & Design representing a broad range of aesthetics, techniques and concepts.

In addition to the sale, there will be a raffle of work donated by students, faculty and alumni. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased either day for $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, but winners need not be present to win.

Proceeds from the sale will fund the Clay Club visiting artist program and facilitate student attendance at annual professional conferences. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.

The work for the UNL Fine Art Photo Club’s Photo Sale will include photos made by both undergraduate and graduate students working in photography. The prints will be a mix of digital and silver prints.

There will also be a raffle where people can buy tickets for $1 each or six for $5 and win prints from graduate students and faculty.
