The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Art and Art History announce the visit of artist Robyn O'Neil. Robyn O'Neil will be in residence the week of October 22-26 in the printmaking studio to create an edition for the Under Pressure Print Club, with students and faculty assisting with the printing.

She will give a public lecture on Thursday, October 25 at 5:00 p.m. in Richards Hall, room 15, with a reception and printing demonstration following in Woods Hall, room 303.

O'Neil Biography

Robyn O'Neil [Omaha, Nebraska, 1977] lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. O'Neil has been included in numerous exhibitions around the world including a solo exhibition at the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston, Texas which traveled to the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, the Frye Art Museum, Seattle, Washington, and the 2004 Whitney Biennial. In 2010. The Des Moines Art Center presented a survey of O'Neil's most important works to date.

O'Neil participated in Werner Herzog's inaugural Rogue Film School Seminar. She is the recipient of numerous grants and awards, including a Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant in 2008 and the Hunting Prize in 2009. Her work is represented by Dunn and Brown Contemporary in Dallas, Texas, Tony Wight Gallery in Chicago, Illinois, and Praz-Delavallade Gallery in Paris, France and Berlin, Germany.
