MFA Thesis Exhibitions open March 21
Lincoln, Neb.—Eight graduating Master of Fine Arts students in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History & Design will present their MFA Thesis Exhibitions in the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall beginning March 21.
The simultaneous solo shows will be on display in four rounds, with a new pairing of artists each week between March 21-April 15.

Two artists will present Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist Lectures March 9-10
Lincoln, Neb.—The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History & Design will present two Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist Lectures March 9-10.
Rachel Adams, the chief curator and director of programs at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, will present her lecture on Wednesday, March 9 at 5:30 p.m. in Richards Hall Rm. 15. Graphic designer Greg Schmidt will present his lecture on Thursday, March 10 at 5:30 p.m. in Richards Hall Rm. 17.

UNL Jazz Singers, Jazz Orchestra perform March 9
Lincoln, Neb.—The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music’s Jazz Singers and Jazz Orchestra will perform on Wednesday, March 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.

Glenn Korff School of Music presents two evenings of choir in March
Lincoln, Neb.--The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Glenn Korff School of Music will present two Evening of Choirs performances on March 8 and 10.
On March 8, the University Singers, Chamber Singers and University Chorale will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Newman Center, 320 N 16th St. Admission is free and open to the public, but donations of any non-perishable foods or hygiene items are requested for the Husker Pantry, in conjunction with University Chorale’s performance of “Famine Song.”

Finalists announced for fine and performing arts dean
Lincoln, Neb.--The University of Nebraska–Lincoln has named its finalists for the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts dean position.
Selected through a national search, the candidates will visit campus between Feb. 28 and March 10.
Candidates will participate in multiple-day interviews with a variety of college stakeholders. Public presentations, each at 3:30 p.m. in the Lied Center for Performing Arts’ Steinhart Room, will be offered in-person and via Zoom.

Nebraska Repertory Theatre presents ‘The Way to the Way’

Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist series begins March 2 with photographer Tibbs
Lincoln, Neb.--Six artists will be presenting Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist & Scholar lectures this spring in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History & Design. The series begins with photographer Millee Tibbs on Wednesday, March 2.
The School of Art, Art History & Design’s Hixson-Lied Visiting Artist & Scholar Lecture Series brings notable artists, scholars and designers to Nebraska each semester to enhance the education of students.

Architectural firms announced for new music facilities
Lincoln, Neb.--The architecture firms who will design the new music building and renovate Kimball Hall have been selected.
The Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts has received funding to begin design and construction of a new $75 million music facility and $15 million renovation of Kimball Recital Hall. Those funds were approved by the Nebraska Legislature last year.
While these will be two, separate projects with two separate teams, the planning and construction for both projects will happen concurrently.

UNL Opera presents ‘She Loves Me’
Lincoln, Neb.--The Glenn Korff School of Music’s opera program presents the musical “She Loves Me.”
