“When love and lust mix on the battlefield, lives are put in danger. After a joint operative mission with the Afghan National Army goes awry, four Canadian soldiers are left scrambling to tell their side of the story about what happened in Afghanistan. Only time and testimony will tell who the mission’s real casualty was,” Retka said.
Theatrix’s production of This is War is directed by senior Theatre Directing and Management major Christa Retka, and features performances by junior Theatre Performance major Grace Debetaz, junior Theatre Performance major Jesse Turos, sophomore Theatre Performance major Connor Garrison, and freshman Theatre Performance major Phil Crawford. Costume Design for the production is by freshman Theatre Design/Production major, Jaci Tubbs, with sound and lights designed by junior Theatre Design/Technical Production major, Jordan Taylor Thomas, who is assisted on both by sophomore Theatre Design/Technical Production major, Rebecca Ellers. Emma Hoffbauer, a first-year Theatre Scenic Design graduate student, is the scenic designer and props master for this production. Kasey Dunaski, a junior Theatre Design/Technical Production, will stage manage.
