Chiara String Quartet is the Quartet in Residence at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art this year
Lincoln, Neb.--The Chiara String Quartet is the Quartet-in-Residence this year at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. The residency consists of four concerts throughout the course of the season.“We’ve played in New York from time to time,” said Research Associate Professor Jonah Sirota, who plays viola for the Chiara Quartet. “But this is definitely the most high profile thing we have done there recently.”
It’s a different residency from their UNL one.

UNL Symphony Orchestra performance coming up on Sunday, Dec. 13
LINCOLN, Neb.— The Glenn Korff School of Music UNL Symphony Orchestra program on Sunday, December 13 at 3 p.m. includes the Symphony No. 2 in B minor by Alexander Borodin, Pavane by Gabriel Faure, the Pavane for a Dead Princess by Maurice Ravel, and the Carmen Suite No. 1 by Georges Bizet. Conducting will be Tyler White, UNL Director of Orchestras and graduate associate conductors Aaron Beaver, Anna-Maria Gkouni, and David Galant.

Chamber Singers to provide festive music at Sheldon Museum of Art
LINCOLN, Neb.— The University of Nebraska’s Glenn Korff School of Music Chamber Singers will, once again, give a brief performance at the Sheldon Museum of Art FIRST FRIDAY celebration at 5 p.m. on December 4th.
The program will include festive music suitable to the occasion and appropriate to the upcoming Holiday Season. Following a few selections in the main hall, the singers, joined by an 8-piece brass ensemble will reconvene in the auditorium with comfortable seating and recital stage.
