Big Red Singers & Vocal Jazz close out the Fall semester performances
LINCOLN, Neb.— In the final performance of the fall semester at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music, the Big Red Singers and UNL Vocal Jazz take to the Kimball Recital Hall stage at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 13.

Musical Theatre Showcase coming to Westbrook
LINCOLN, Neb.— If you love musical theatre, this is an evening not to be missed. Eight heart-warming scenes from newer and rarely performed musicals will be performed in a 50-minute, free performance by UNL’s award-winning musical theatre students in the Glenn Korff School of Music’s Westbrook Recital Hall on Friday, December 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Cocoa and Carols takes over Kimball on Dec. 6 with two performances

UNL Symphonic Band presents Musica Sacra
LINCOLN, Neb.— Join the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music Symphonic Band, conducted by Tony Falcone with Graduate Teaching Assistant conductor Bradley Nelsen, for its program entitled Musica Sacra on December 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.
Works by Joaquin Turina, David Maslanka, Yo Goto, David Holsinger and Alfred Reed will be featured.

UNL Wind Ensemble presents Light and Shadow

Chamber Singers to provide festive music at Sheldon Museum of Art
LINCOLN, Neb.— The University of Nebraska’s Glenn Korff School of Music Chamber Singers will, once again, give a brief performance at the Sheldon Museum of Art FIRST FRIDAY celebration at 5 p.m. on December 4th.
The program will include festive music suitable to the occasion and appropriate to the upcoming Holiday Season. Following a few selections in the main hall, the singers, joined by an 8-piece brass ensemble will reconvene in the auditorium with comfortable seating and recital stage.

Wet Ink concerts feature wide-range of UNL Composers
LINCOLN, Neb.— The term “wet ink” refers to the process that composers used before they had computer software to aid in writing music. They would write music with a fountain pen and paper and new music could be premiered before the ink was even dry.
