For Anderson, Dylan's magic rests in the lyrics

Lincoln, Neb.--Eighteen words.

That's all it took to put Scott Anderson onto a path to becoming a Bobsessive.

In spring 1987, Anderson was putting the finishing touches on a master's degree at Northwestern University and decided to use a few extra dollars to buy a turntable, amp and "really nice set" of speakers. The first album he played on that stereo was a newly purchased copy of Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits.

Carson School sophomore sings with Idina Menzel at the Lied Center

Lincoln, Neb.--It’s not every day that you get to sing with Broadway star and ‘Frozen’ sensation Idina Menzel. But Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film Sophomore Karen Richards did just that during Menzel’s performance Sept. 30 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

“It was surreal,” Richards said. “I would never in a million years think that I would have this opportunity, at least not at this time in my life. I was so lost in the moment, I forgot there was an audience. Friday was, by far, the best night of my life.”
