- You will be asked to upload scanned copies of your transcripts showing all postsecondary coursework completed, including all studies for which credit was granted (e.g. summer institutes such as Aspen or Interlochen). Further information can be found at https://www.unl.edu/gradstudies/admissions/requirements#transcripts. We require: Undergraduate GPA = 2.75/4.00 scale.

We require: TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5 overall band score.

4. Prepare the required “Prepared Creative /Scholarly Materials Requirements” (see below).
Prepared Creative/Scholarly Materials Requirements: To assist candidates in achieving success in the required audition, the following requirements have been set by the area. Please refer to the list below to know what to include on your audition.
Prepared Audition Materials:
Students should declare a major instrument and a secondary instrument. The student only auditions on the major instrument and a secondary instrument.
To assist candidates in achieving success, the following requirements have been set by the area: An audition of approximately 30 minutes, demonstrating capabilities on two different woodwinds (refer to #1 and #2 below for a description of the expected proficiency levels).
1. The expected proficiency level for the major instrument is the same as that of a MM audition in performance. (Please see the specific audition requirements for your selected major instrument under the specific woodwind instrument specialization, i.e., flute performance, oboe performance, clarinet performance, saxophone performance, or bassoon performance.) This portion of the audition should be approximately 20 minutes in length.
2. The expected proficiency level for the secondary instrument is equivalent to that of an entering first-year undergraduate student. This portion of the audition should be approximately 10 minutes in length and should include a sample of representative repertoire for the secondary instrument. Representative works include (but are not limited to): flute - Handel Sonata in G Major; oboe - Telemann Concerto in F Minor; clarinet - Finzi Five Bagatelles; saxophone - Tcherepnin Sonata Sportive; bassoon - Telemann Sonata in F Minor.
