Jazz Combos performance coming up in Westbrook
LINCOLN, Neb.— The UNL Small Jazz Ensembles performance will take place November 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Westbrook Recital Hall and is comprised of students at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
This concert in the Glenn Korff School of Music features four ensembles coached by DMA Jazz Studies majors Russell Zimmer, Aaron Stroessner, Max Stehr, and Jesse McBee. In addition, one advanced ensemble, coached by faculty member Dr. Darryl White, will be featured.

Viola Studio performance to be in Westbrook, live webcast
LINCOLN, Neb.— Viola students of professors Clark Potter and Jonah Sirota perform separately and together during the Viola Studio performance on Wednesday, November 12 at 5 p.m. in the Westbrook Recital Hall.
Included is the music of Bach, Bloch, Telemann and more. Then the professors join in the fun to form NEBratsche, the UNL viola ensemble, to play music of Muse!

Large Brass Ensembles to feature wide variety of works
LINCOLN, Neb.— The Large Brass Ensembles within the Glenn Korff School of Music will perform a recital at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, November 17 in the Westbrook Recital Hall. The recital will have something for everyone, and will feature a wide variety of works spanning from Brahms to the Beatles.

Moran Quintet performance coming up in Westbrook, live webcast
LINCOLN, Neb.— The Moran Woodwind Quintet’s November 13 recital at 7:30 p.m. in the Westbrook Recital Hall contains three contrasting works: a staple of the early Romantic literature, a modern classic, and a jazz-inspired closer.

British composers featured at UNL Symphonic Band performance
LINCOLN, Neb.— Join the UNL Symphonic Band, conducted by Tony Falcone and Graduate Teaching Assistant James Dreiling, for its second concert of the semester on Sunday, December 14 at 3 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.
The concert will feature wind band music by British composers spanning 105 years including works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Gustav Holst, Philip Sparke, Guy Woolfenden, and Adam Gorb. Also featured will be Graduate Teaching Assistant and euphonium soloist Chris Barnes.

It’s show time for the CMB Highlights Concert
LINCOLN, Neb.— It’s show time as the Cornhusker Marching Band Highlights Concert returns to the Lied Center for Performing Arts on Tuesday, December 16 at 7:30 p.m.
Come experience the sights and sounds of the Pride of all Nebraska as they perform halftime shows from the 2014 season, their Pregame Spectacular, and much more! The Cornhusker Marching Band resides in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Glenn Korff School of Music.

Lincoln, Neb.—The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Clay Club will hold its annual Winter Clay Club Sale on Dec. 12-13 in Richards Hall Rm. 118. Hours for the sale are Friday, Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.Featured in the sale will be the work from all eight ceramics graduate students in the Department of Art and Art History, as well as work from post baccalaureate students and advanced undergraduate students.

Capstone Exhibition runs Dec. 12-19
Lincoln, Neb.--The Capstone Exhibition opens Friday, Dec. 12 at the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. The exhibition runs through Dec. 19.A closing reception will be held on Friday, Dec. 19 from 5-7 p.m. in the gallery.
Gallery hours for the exhibition will be Monday-Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m. There will be extended hours on Friday, Dec. 12 from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in conjunction with the Winter Clay Club Sale, held in Richards Hall Rm. 118 that weekend.

Glenn Korff School of Music presents 'City of Angels' in November
The Glenn Korff School of Music presents the musical “City of Angels,” in November. The musical is directed by Coordinator of Musical Theatre Studies Alisa Belflower.Performances are Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall. Tickets are $20 adults and $10 for students and seniors. University Theatre presents 'Love's Labor's Lost'
University Theatre continues its season in November with William Shakespeare’s “Love’s Labor’s Lost,” guest directed by Melora Kordos.Performances are Nov. 13-15 and 18-21 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. in Howell Theatre, which is located on the first floor of the Temple Building at 12th and R sts.
