Chamber Singers to perform in Sheldon and Oxford
The UNL Chamber Singers will perform at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7 in the Sheldon Museum of Art Great Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.
The 25-member vocal ensemble provides a chamber vocal experience for singers and is under the direction of Associate Professor of Choral Music Therees Hibbard.

Fine Art Photo Club to hold print sale Dec. 7-8
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Fine Art Photo Club is having its annual print sale on Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. The sale will take place in Richards Hall, Rm. 121 on the UNL city campus. Refreshments will be served on Dec. 7 from 5-7 p.m. for the First Friday art walk.
The sale takes place concurrently with the UNL Clay Club Sale, which takes place in Richards Hall, Rm. 118.

Clay Club hosts Winter Ceramics Sale Dec. 7-8
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Clay Club will host its annual Winter Ceramics Sale on Friday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sale is held in Richards Hall Rm. 118 on UNL's city campus.
Works of ceramic art created by undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni will be for sale. The work includes functional pottery, vessels and sculpture and represents a broad range of aesthetics, techniques and concepts.

Owad's work included in Wichita juried MFA exhibition
University of Nebraska–Lincoln Department of Art and Art History graduate student Liana Owad has had her work accepted into the Wichita State MFA Juried Exhibition “How Much Do We Control?”
The exhibition opens Dec. 10 and continues through Jan. 25 at the Clayton Staples Gallery at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan. The juror was Robert Bupb, Associate Professor of Art at Wichita State University.

School of Music wins at regional NATS auditions
The School of Music took home the most awards at the 2012 West Central National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Auditions held at the University the weekend of Nov. 2-3, including Singer of the Year honors for School of Music senior Kendall Reimer.UNL voice students received 39 awards and 28 semi-finalist recognitions, more than any of the other 22 participating colleges and universities. The West Central Region of NATS includes Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming.

Rogers' MFA Thesis Exhibition runs Nov. 26-30
Nettie Locke Rogers’ Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition, titled “A Transformational Bond,” runs Nov. 26-30 at the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln city campus.
Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public.
A closing reception will be held Friday, Nov. 30 from 5-7 p.m. in the Gallery. The reception is free and open to the public.

Chiara plays "The American" in Hixson-Lied Concert
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln School of Music presents the Chiara String Quartet in the next Hixson-Lied Concert Series on Monday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall on the UNL city campus.
Tickets are $20 adults, $10 seniors and $5 students and available at the Lied Center for Performing Arts Box Office at (402) 472-4747 or at the door.
The Nov. 19 concert program includes Mozart’s String Quartet in C Major, K. 465, “The Dissonance;” Lutoslawski’s String Quartet; and Dvorak’s String Quartet in F Major, Op. 96, “The American.”

College seeks Young Artist Award applications
The Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks applications for the 16th annual Nebraska Young Artist Awards.
The Nebraska Young Artist Awards annually recognize 11th-grade students from Nebraska who are gifted and talented in the areas of visual art, dance, music, theatre, and film and new media. These students exemplify the pinnacles of creativity in one of the fine and performing arts.

Susanne Grieve presents AIA lecture on Antarctic
